The Market Need: Instant Communications

Workgroups require instantaneous business grade communications for shared voice, fax, and Internet access as well as support for POS and alarm/surveillance & security systems. In mobile, temporary or remote environments, lack of wire line availability, the need for unskilled installation and portability underscores the dilemma. Every time the service location changes, carriers may change, requiring new equipment; companies incur new equipment costs, installation charges and time delays.

In a fixed environment, as part of a company’s business continuity plan, the need for seamless communications failover to a wireless network in the event of wire line failure is critical to maintaining operations and preventing loss of revenue. As with temporary facilities, both require the ability to upgrade or evolve the system without the need for total equipment replacement to maintain consistent and dependable communications infrastructure.
